Storm Soccer Club offers a High-Performance Program for players who are seeking to develop and grow at a faster pace and play in a challenging and competitive environment. The Technical Committee assess and observe players registered in this program during the first two weeks of practice before finalizing the recommended program for both the players and team.
Storm Soccer Club uses the Canada Soccer Standards which are designed to create the best possible learning and development environment for all young players who join us.
Our primary focus for the High-Performance Teams is on PLAYER DEVELOPMENT. Teaching our players how to play this sport creatively, intelligently, cooperatively and with confidence and composure.
Storm Soccer Club is focused on creating a positive environment that is supportive, warm, and welcoming, ensuring that all our players and young people are happy and safe.
Players will receive 3 x 60-minute training sessions per week (turf)
One of the sessions includes a fitness session, which will alternate between strength training and plyometrics (turf)
Weekly league games (Nova Scotia Soccer League schedule is to be determined)
For the AA Spring/Summer season, practices start the first week of May and finish at the end of August. For the Winter season, practices start the second week of October and run until the last week of February. There is always a two-week Holiday break in December.
For AAA, the season runs from January to October, however weekly practices will be arranged from October to December until the season starts.
